The qualified individual we seek must: Be a guru CMM programmer using PC DMIS software Perform CMM checks and conventional inspection of product manufactured to customer drawings and specifications to ensure compliance to customer and regulatory requirements.
oMust keep the supervisor aware of any Safety, Quality, Production or personnel related issues
oPerform dimensional inspection of current and new program launch products, using inspection equipment (CMM, Faro, height gage, surface plates, steel rules, calipers, micrometers, etc. . .).
oPerform Gage Calibration and maintain system with GAGEtrack software.
oResponsible for keeping the appropriate software, for items used in the lab or calibration system, up to date. This includes, but is not limited to, the calibration software.
oProvide quality support to manufacturing and engineering on process capability studies, dimensional inspections, and validation testing of products produced.
oAssist in the notification, processing, and follow up with supplier sources on internal and external non-conforming material.
oAssist with development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Management System requirements.
oAssist Quality Manager and Quality Engineers, as needed.
oPerform other essential duties as required.
Requirements:
Minimum knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required :
oA high school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of five years experience in a quality environment, preferably with automotive applications.
oExperience to use test and measurement devices and equipment is required. (CMM w/ PCDMIS software, Faro/Roamer, height gage, surface plate, steel rule, etc.).
oAbility to interpret blueprints with GD&T dimensioning.
oProficient in computer operations, inclusive of data entry, use of spreadsheets, word processing, and customer specific formats.
Good interpersonal, problem solving, teamwork skills.
oKnowledge of Quality Management System requirements is a plus
