Primary
Responsibilities:
Intercompany Arbitration (Applicant side) Review file materials thoroughly and efficiently to identify key issues in a variety of different fact Scenarios for automobile and property claims Efficiently write persuasive arbitration contentions supporting our clients' claim for damages Develop evidence as needed, such as taking recorded statements from insureds and witnesses over the phone, requesting police photos and performing internet research Submit arbitration applications and petitions via Arbitration Forums, Inc.
and NAMIC Arbritration Services Negotiate with insurance claim representatives via telephone and email Update electronic case management system with new file developments according to internal case management procedures Communicate file status updates to client representatives and insureds in writing and over the phone Maintain logs using Excel spreadsheet Use a variety of computer programs as tools to improve efficiency Claims Review and Negotiation (subrogation defense side) Evaluate automobile and property subrogation claims asserted against our clients to identify potential liability issues as well as unsupported, inaccurate or unreasonable damages claims Perform claims investigative tasks as needed to finalize liability determinations, including talking with insureds or witnesses, taking statements, locating scene images, etc.
Negotiate settlements with active follow up to resolve claims efficiently via email and telephone Respond to arbitration submissions through Arbitration Forums, Inc.
and NAMIC Arbitration Services; Submit arbitration counter claims as needed Prepare correspondence and email communication Manage deadlines and due dates effectively
Qualifications:
Experience adjusting automobile claim and/or property claims Ability to analyze potential liability disputes, identify defenses to liability arguments, and identify other potentially responsible parties Ability to evaluate estimates and other claim-related supports for accuracy and reasonableness Ability to negotiate and advocate for our clients assertively while remaining professional and fair Excellent skills in critical thinking, written and verbal communication, organization, time management and negotiations Self-starter able to work independently Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Ability to work well with a wide variety of personalities in a team-oriented environment Comfortable learning new software programs and able to learn new programs quickly Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with insurance intercompany arbitration is preferred Full-time position.
